Lobby & Box Office Hours
Dallas Chamber Symphony maintains an on-site box office in the venue lobby at all events, whether at Moody Performance Hall, or Caruth Auditorium during the Dallas International Piano Competition. At the Box Office, tickets and subscriptions can be purchased, as we accept all major credit cards, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. The venue lobby, will-call, and the onsite box office, will open 90 minutes prior to each scheduled event. Doors to the theater inside are opened 30 minutes prior to the concert start time. Ticket sales are final, and will not be refunded. You may however donate tickets that you do not intend to use back to the DCS, and for doing so, a receipt for a tax deduction will be provided.
We recommend arriving early to concerts. Please allow approximately 30 minutes to park, pick up your tickets, and purchase cocktails in the lobby before your event. The theater doors will close at the concert start-time, and if you arrive late, you will be asked to wait in the lobby until you may enter during a pause in the program (in between pieces or movements, etc.), so as not to disturb patrons during the concert. In the event that the concert program does not have an intermission or appropriate pause, late seating will not be available. Accommodations are always made at the discretion of the hall’s management.
Great music is best enjoyed both in the company of others, and in a live acoustic setting, such as that provided by the Dallas City Performance Hall. Please be a conscientious guest, and make an effort to allow others to get the most out of their own concert experience. Please remember to turn off your cell phone and other electronic devices prior to the concert, avoid coughing, talking, or handling objects which you may drop while the orchestra is performing.
We want for all of our patrons to be comfortable, and so we encourage you to dress in a way that best allows you, and those around you, to enjoy the concert experience. Business casual attire is recommended.
Children’s Attendance Policy
All of our guests need to be able to sit quietly throughout a 90-minute concert, in order to be attentive of, and engage with, our concert performances. Therefore, our regular concerts are generally not suitable for small children under the age of 6. However, children under 6 are welcome at our family concerts, community outreach and youth education events. Please check the event detail pages to determine whether a given event is appropriate for your party.
On occasion, the Dallas Chamber Symphony screens films in concert as part of our UnSilent Film Series, or Sight of Sound. In general, movies shown at these events are appropriate for all audiences. Whenever a program will include questionable materials, a parental advisory will be posted prominently on the event web page.
Lost and Found
Dallas City Performance Hall maintains a lost and found on site, which is managed by the venue’s staff. You are welcome to call them at 214.671.1450 to see if items that you left behind have been found.
