Scott Stratton, Trombone
Scott Stratton has been a freelance trombonist in Dallas since 2001. He is principal trombone of the Las Colinas, Garland, and Arlington orchestras, and performs frequently with his quintet, The Perennial Brass.
Scott is a former faculty member at Texas Christian University and the State University of New York. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the Oberlin Conservatory as a student of Raymond Premru, and completed his graduate studies at the Eastman School of Music under Dr. John Marcellus, where he received the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees, in addition to being awarded the Performer’s Certificate.
